It’s Time For You To Be In Charge Of Your TMJ.
If you have TMJ issues you know that at times it can control how you behave, eat, and speak. Your jaw may lock or stray to one side when you open your mouth. The pain in your jaw joint can make chewing and talking painful.
MyoTech Dental’s team of caring experts are prepared to work beside you to help put you back in charge of your Temporomandibular Joint Disorder, also known as TMD. This disorder most commonly affects men and women between 20 and 40 years of age, but may occur in any person at any age, even in children.
During your appointment, your dentist will observe your jaw movement and physically examine your bones and muscles. As part of our discovery, an X-ray, cone beam CT scan, or MRI may be required to fully examine bones and joints.
Several treatment options are available, including medications and oral appliance therapy. There’s good news when you try to take control of your TMD: easy lifestyle changes and relaxation techniques help many patients eliminate TMJ discomfort.
Every dentist at MyoTech has completed advanced training at the TMD Therapy Center for Treatment of Orofacial Pain, Orthodontics, and Airway Development. Dr. Jarrin was one of the first dentists to certify for the cranial competency examination of the Cranial Academy, a division of the American Osteopathic Association.
