Periodontal disease, injury and tooth decay can all cause a loss of your natural teeth. However, we can bring back the smile on your face with dentures to restore your missing teeth. With improved technology and updated materials, dentists can now make them appear more natural and more comfortable for the patient.
Unable to eat without pain? Dentures are an excellent option for people who have lost all of their teeth. Precisely designed and molded to fit one’s mouth, full dentures slide over the gums and are held in place with strong cheek and mouth muscles. They allow for comfortable chewing and keep the mouth and its surrounding facial features in proper alignment.
At Myotech, we listen to your needs, we study your facial masculature, how you speak and how you chew. We personally handle every step in the construction of your denture in our own on-site lab. We are committed to making sure you dentures are comfortable, function well and look completely natural. We utilize the latest advances in materials and techniques, including cushioned soft liners that help make life a little less hard.
Implant Supported Overdentures
For those patients who have difficulty with mobile partial or complete dentures an implant supported partial denture or complete denture is often the treatment of choice. Overdentures are an implant supported denture, held securely to increase speaking and chewing ability. A customized denture is attached to individual implants or a row of implants, securing the denture in place. They are natural looking long-lasting and quite durable. It is like getting your own teeth back again!
Denture Repairs
Unwilling to be without dentures for days? Will you have to send my teeth away?
For our Moline patients, most denture repairs can be made within an hour at our own on-site lab. For our Orion patients, most repairs can be made the same day. No need to go into hiding for days until your dentures are sent away.
Partial Dentures are prepared in much the same way as a complete set and are utilized when only a few teeth are missing. The remaining teeth are prepared to allow the metal framework of the partial denture to fit upon them. Then resin teeth and plastic gums are added. With dental implants, removable dentures may be completely unnecessary.
There are two types of dentures: complete and partial. Complete dentures cover the patient’s entire jaw while partial dentures, with their metal framework, replace multiple missing teeth. Ask our doctors to see which type would be right for you.
It may take some time to adjust to your dentures. Speaking and eating may feel different at first, but these regular activities will resume normally once you are accustomed to your dentures
