Dr. David A. Jarrin
Dr. Jarrin is a classically trained general dentist. He graduated from the Creighton University School of Dentistry in Omaha, Nebraska in 1976. Since then, he has enjoyed treating patients for their full range of dental needs from child care to dentures. Dr. Jarrin was born in Moline, Illinois and has practiced dentistry "on the hill" in Moline since 1976.
In addition to his dental school training, Dr. Jarrin has successfully completed courses in many advanced areas of oral and dental medicine.
He has received training from the Society of Occlusal Studies in the advanced techniques for managing full-mouth reconstruction for the patient who has multiple degenerative dental problems. His history of success with these complicated patients has been very good. Dr. Jarrin also received his advanced training with dental implants and bone grafting techniques through the Implant Program of the Medical College of Georgia, in Augusta. This allows him to successfully restore missing teeth. And he has completed the examination processes necessary to become an Associate Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology.
Dr. Jarrin can assure you that any dental procedure performed will be done with minimal discomfort. Dr. Jarrin received post-graduate training in conscious sedation from St. Joseph´s Hospital in Patterson, New Jersey and The University of Illinois in Chicago. He has tested and certified with the American Society of Dental Anesthesia. A wide range of sedative techniques can be used, as appropriate, with your dental procedure to allow the best dental experience possible. Your experience with extractions, periodontal surgery, root canals and general dentistry may be improved with the addition of conscious sedation.
His training in dental esthetics makes Dr. Jarrin one of the Quad Cities’ leaders in producing excellent cosmetic results. Crowns and bridges, veneers, and plastic surgery of the gums are all available in our office. By keeping control over each step of the process, we can assure that you will receive the most pleasing and beautiful results possible.
In 1987, Dr. Jarrin established the MyoTech Denture Center and has continued to find successful solutions to his patients’ denture problems. He has established a reputation for designing and crafting beautiful and natural-appearing dentures. He is most famous for fitting naturally functioning dentures that are well accepted and enjoyed by his patients. Soft liners, overdentures and denture repair are all available in his office.
Dr. Jarrin has advanced training and skills in diagnosis and treatment of patients with significant musculoskeletal involvement in their dental health. His training at the Myotronics Educational Institute is one reason that dentures made in our office function properly. He was one of the first dentists to certify for the cranial competency examination of the Cranial Academy, a division of the American Osteopathic Association. He has trained Osteopathic Physicians in cranial technique and patient management methods.

After that is determined, what is needed is a dentist trained and experienced in all of the things that you need and the wisdom to put them together to give you the best possible dental results.
Dr. Brian A. Prudent
Dr. Brian Prudent joined our team in 2003 and is now proud to be a partner with Dr. Jarrin. Dr. Prudent grew up in southern Illinois where he attended the Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. During that time he had the privilege of being a “Saluki” football player as well as an Academic All-American. He graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Physiology in1996. He then attended the Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine in Alton , Illinois. He graduated in 2001 and moved to the area where he lives with his wife and daughter.
Dr. Prudent is committed to providing high quality dentistry in a gentle manner. Continuing education is a high priority for Dr. Prudent. Dr. Prudent took a series of orthodontic courses at the United States Dental Institute in 2002 and moat recently became a Clear Correct “invisible braces” provider. In 2005, Dr. Prudent completed a 2 year program at the Dawson Center, in St. Petersburg, FL where he took a series of courses that focused on total comprehensive care. This training not only taught him how to completely restore someone’s smile and dental health, but also how to present comprehensive treatment in an affordable and stepwise manner.
Dr. Prudent is also a highly trained Cerec dentist which allows a patient to receive a crown in one appointment as opposed to multiple visits. This is a Cad-Cam computer technology that takes a digital image of the tooth and mills a porcelain block to fit precisely. They are restorations that are durable and very biocompatible. These restorations also allow him to conserve more of the patient’s natural tooth as compared to preparing a tooth for a conventional crown “cap”. He also provides endodontic “root canal” services and extractions. Dr. Prudent is a member of the Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the Academy of General Dentistry. He really enjoys cosmetic dentistry and takes pleasure in changing a patient’s life with his/her new smile.
In the last two years Dr. Prudent has further expanded his knowledge and skills. He completed training for the use of Botox to treat muscular problems involving the jaw joint. Also known as temperomandibular disorder (TMD) often leading to headaches and limited jaw mobility. He completed the training in New York City in 2009. He also has completed an implant maxicourse at the University of Puerto Rico under Dr. Hilt Tatum and Dr. Jose Pedroza. This was a unique maxicourse because over 40 surgeries were performed and over 400 hours of training were completed in a 10 month period. He also achieved his conscious sedation license which is especially beneficial for the anxious patient.
Dr. Prudent is also progressive and will continue to learn the latest in dental technology. In the very near future the office will also provide laser technology for a wide variety of procedures. These range from treating painful cold sores, treating gum disease, and improving the appearance of the gums. He is very excited about the new horizons that dentistry is exploring and is committed to provide his patients with the best possible dental care. Dr. Prudent has been fortunate to have many experiences and is perhaps most grateful for the guidance from his mentor and friend, Dr. Jarrin.
